Joshua is a former two-time unified heavyweight champion, with his second reign ending when he lost to Usyk in September 2021. After losing a rematch to Usyk the following year, AJ was at a low point in his professional career, losing 3 of his last 5 fights in that time. Joshua has since bounced back from his losses to Usyk, reeling off four straight wins, against Jermaine Franklin, later replacement Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin, and most recently, a showpiece show of strength against Francis Ngannou.
Dubois himself, meanwhile, has only had one major title fight, and that came in August of last year, when he was stopped by the same Oleksandr Usyk. Since that loss, Dubois has defeated Jarrell Miller last December at Boxing Day of Reckoning, and most recently stopped Filip Hrgovic in June to win the interim IBF title. Usyk vacated the IBF belt shortly after, and Dubois moved up from interim champion to the real IBF belt. So Dubois will be defending his first official title against AJ, despite the fact that Dubois has never won a major world title fight.
So who will win the upcoming IBF heavyweight world title fight between Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua?
