Anthony Joshua sends message to Tyson Fury regarding potential clash
Published

Anthony Joshua says he is focused on finally securing a blockbuster fight with Tyson Fury this year.
Joshua and Fury have been linked to an all-British battle for years, but have so far eluded meeting each other.
However, ‘AJ’ is adamant that their long-awaited meeting will take place in 2025 and admits that he too is keen to win the world heavyweight championship again after his bid to regain the IBF title was abandoned by Daniel Dubois in Lost in the fifth round in September at Wembley.
“Three-time world champion and Tyson Fury,” Joshua said NTA network about your goals for this year.
“We’re not sure [when it will happen]but this is my goal.
“2025, my goal is Tyson Fury.”
Fury himself suffered a second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Riyad last month, but has reportedly told close friends that his career is not over.
According to his promoter Eddie Hearn, who said last week that his protégé would return in May or June, Joshua has not decided on an immediate rematch with Dubois because he needs more time to recover from injuries suffered in the fight.
The Watford player, who is currently on holiday in Nigeria, insists the defeat has boosted his motivation to achieve his goals.
“It makes me hungrier,” the 35-year-old said.
“It makes me want to work harder because time doesn’t matter, time is confined, so I just want to put in more work.
“2024, when I look back, I believe I could have done more, and now in 2025 I have another chance to do more.
“I’m going to take advantage of every opportunity that comes my way.
I should have won, but I didn’t and I’m going to go again.
“My life is full of ups and downs, so I have to get used to the turbulent times and continue to ride the wave.
“I can’t stop now. I have to keep going until I reach my destination.”

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul face up-to-date ‘false’ charges as friend speaks out

January 4, 2025NFL legend and former Pro Bowler Adam “Pacman” Jones cast doubt on Mike Tyson’s high-profile comeback fight against Jake Paul, suggesting the Netflix fight was potentially “rigged.”
The Cincinnati Bengals cornerback, who is a close friend of Tyson, expressed his desire to see the youngest-ever heavyweight champion return to a “real fight.”
His comments are likely to fuel ongoing speculation about the legality of the game in Dallas, which drew tens of millions of viewers last month. Pacman has criticized social media influencer turned boxer Paul for his lack of aggression in the ring.
Despite Paul’s vehement denials of any manipulation or PR stunts, Pacman said Take back the USA: “I really think the fight was rigged because if you look at the first round, Mike hit him with a few punches and it looked like he was telling him to leisurely down.
“Did I think his feet were already in place? No, I didn’t think so. He was a little unsteady on his feet. I like Mike Tyson. I love Mike Tyson. I love watching the real fight with Mike Tyson.
The retired NFL star, who hosts “The Pacman Jones Show” on BetOnline, believes Tyson still has the potential to unleash his inner “beast.”
Pacman, who watched the fight in the ring, has since questioned the intensity of the fight: “Paul knocked out everyone else. However, with Mike he wasn’t as aggressive. He looked a little shy to me. If you had asked me this first (I would have thought), “Oh, that’s challenging.”
Unbeknownst to Pacman, Tyson revealed that in the months before the fight he had been struggling with life-threatening health problems that even required a significant blood transfusion. Even though Tyson looked torpid, tired and anxious in the fight, Pacman supported the 58-year-old’s decision to fight a man half his age.
“If he gets the go-ahead from the doctors, let him go. He’s a fucking warrior, bro.”
In a cheeky conclusion, Jones noted that he did not discuss these issues with Tyson after the fight because “he was out of the country.”
Pacman now wants to step into the ring and fight the stars, so he challenged sportscaster and former Carolina Panthers winger Steve Smith. The two have been in a long-running dispute after numerous clashes on the pitch.
“If you’re asking me to go out and fight now, three rounds. I would definitely do it. It’s obvious. “Steve Smith, I don’t like him. He’s d——-.
“He knows what he did. I don’t have to show it all.
“When I first met him as a rookie, he was a d—.” Pacman expressed his delight at having the freedom to express his opinions in all sports thanks to the BetOnline deal and talk show. He stated: “Nothing is forbidden.
“I utilize the phrase ‘politely strict’ all the time – and that’s who we are. I’m talking about facts.
“I am very pleased with BetOnline, they do a great job taking care of everything I need in terms of production and program assistance. This is just the beginning.
“Next year we will be one of the biggest shows, if not the biggest.”

Mike Tyson is unrecognizable in the first photos after the Jake Paul fight and the huge payout

January 4, 2025Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson appears to be enjoying some downtime after his boxing match with Jake Paul.
The 58-year-old went head-to-head with the YouTuber-turned-boxer in November, marking Tyson’s first professional match since his 2005 loss to Kevin McBride.
However, he participated in an exhibition fight against legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr in 2020 before facing “The Problem Child”. Fighting the 27-year-old was quite a challenge for “Iron Mike”, primarily due to the huge age difference.
Therefore, the experienced boxer had to take training before the match very seriously. Tyson impressed many with his muscular physique ahead of his heavyweight clash.
Even though he looked great in training, he couldn’t turn back the clock on fight night because his age was evident in Texas. Although he failed to secure a knockout, Paul scored a unanimous decision victory, extending his professional boxing record to 11-1.
Seven weeks after the fight, Tyson enjoyed a well-deserved break and gained some weight. It seems that after an intense and exhausting training camp, the American is not focusing on the ring because he is spending Christmas with his family.
Before the fight with Paul, Tyson admitted that he was close to death. Taking to Twitter, the boxing icon wrote: “It’s one of those situations where you lost but you still won. I’m grateful for last night. I don’t regret stepping into the ring for the last time.”
“I almost died in June. I had 8 blood transfusions. I lost half my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital and had to fight to get better to fight, so I won.
“For my children to see me stand shoulder to shoulder and finish eight innings with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy Stadium is an experience no man could ever ask for. Thank you”.
The match against Paul was initially scheduled for July, but was delayed due to Tyson’s health problems on the plane.
Discussing the ordeal before the fight, Tyson revealed to Recent York Magazine: “I was in the bathroom throwing up blood.”
“I asked the doctor, ‘Am I going to die?’ He replied: “We have options.” Options? I couldn’t believe it. I had eight blood transfusions. The doctor said I had lost half my blood and almost died.
“I lost 25 pounds in 11 days. I couldn’t eat. Only fluids. Every time I went to the bathroom it smelled of tar. It didn’t even smell like shit anymore. It was disgusting.
“It threw me off [when I continued training]. All my coordination, stamina, everything was hectic on the way back. I was already at the top. I could fight him that day. Now I have to start from scratch. I just don’t give up. Sometimes I’m an asshole. I am advertising***. If I haven’t outlived my enemies, I’ve turned them into friends.”
