David Benavidez explained how he plans to lure the long -term rival Canelo Alvarez in a warm clash with him.
Over the past few years, fans have called for AA fight between Benavidez and Canelo, although it seems reluctance to the latter to enter the ring with a 28-year-old.
There are many opinions in boxing that Alvarez is fighting his younger, greater opponent, despite the fact that it is the most financially lucrative for him.
Over time, it seems less and less likely that the couple will ever fight, especially when Benavidez increases up – but the man from Arizona has a plan.
Talking to Andre Ward on All smoke“The Mexican Monster”, who will face David Morrell on Saturday in Las Vegas, explained that he is planning to become the undisputed heavyweight champion, defeating the winner of the rematch on February 22 between Artur Beterbiev and Dmitriry Bivol.
Benavidez believes that the temptation to press this status will be too great for Alvarez to be rejected.
“I don’t think any warrior is afraid. But I feel that he knows that this is the most complex fight, and in his head he knows that he can lose.
“I know that that’s why I know that he doesn’t take this fight.
“I don’t think he is afraid of me and I think he will fight me. But he knows if he will lose the fight, what else is? He probably intends to retire.
“My plan is to defeat David Morrell, win the undisputed titles and in this way I can encourage Canelo to fight me.”
In his inaugural fight in 175 pounds last year, when he defeated the former world champion, Oleksandra Gvozdyk through a unanimous decision.
As for the unified master of super medium weight, Canelo, the 34-year-old has not passed since his September victory over Edgar Berlang, although the reports suggest that he agreed the terms of the hit with the star of pounds for pounds Terenca Crawford In September.

January 30, 2025The boxing legend Mike Tyson raised his fears after confessing that he did not fully recover after his November with Jake Paul. The 58 -year -old former heavyweight champion, who initially retired in 2005, shocked the boxing sides when he announced a return to a professional boxing last year.
Tyson and Paul were originally to face in July, but the flare of ulcers forced Tyson to withdraw. Clash was postponed to November and despite the fact that it seems effective training, Tyson could not recreate his past glory on the night of fighting.
After the second round, Tyson began to mark and fought to land significant blows for the rest of the match, which led to Paul’s unanimous victory. The fight turned out to be a huge hit in Netflix, and the streaming giant reported that the impressive 60 million households watched a competition that also reached 65 million live streams.
However, Tyson revealed the physical influence of the fight, saying Novel York Post: “I feel quite good. I don’t know if I’m 100 percent recovered, but I feel good. ” In December, an experienced boxer confessed that he didn’t remember much about most of the fight, admitting to Fox Sports Radio: “I don’t remember the fight so much, in a sense I won.”
The fighter honestly shared the memories of the fight, saying: “I didn’t watch the fight. You know what I remember … Returning from the first round, and Jake was doing a bow … this is the last thing I remember. “He still described his experience after the fight:” I was not tired, I was not sweaty. I went to the house where we stopped, I left the house with my wife and children, then I went to the party he returned. “
In a surprising revelation, the American revealed that before the fight he met a life -threatening situation, suffering from ulcers during the flight. Thinking about the event, he expressed a positive look: “This is one of those situations when you lost, but you still won” and added: “I am grateful for being grateful that I am grateful [Friday] Night and do not regret that I get on the ring for the last time. “
He specialized his shocking tough health attempt, stating: “I almost died in June; I had eight blood transfusions. I lost half of my blood and 25 pounds in the hospital and I had to fight to fight fit, so I won. That my children would see me to stand up to my head and finish eight rounds with a talented warrior in the middle of my age in front of the packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. “
During the unexpected meeting, Tyson came across his former opponent in the inauguration of Donald Trump, where it was clear that there was no bad blood between them. The film published on the X – a platform previously known as Twitter – showed that Tyson is climbing the shoulders of his ancient rival among the shouts from the crowd. The 28-year-old effortlessly raised the former world champion in heavyweight, to the great joy of “Iron Mike”. They were both impeccably dressed in an affair with black tie. The “child’s problem” briefly signed the post with two words: “Best friends”.

January 29, 2025Tyson Fury broke the silence two weeks after the announcement of a retirement from boxing, but the fans were disappointed as “Gypsy King” used social media to connect the competition.
At the beginning of this month, the two -time world champion in bulky weight sent shock waves through the boxing community with his decision to retire, leaving Anthony Joshua – who was to face his friends Brit in the ring this year – in Lurch.
Fury started to social media to share messages in a tiny video: “Hi everyone, I will do it tiny and sweet”, began – I would like to announce a retirement from boxing. It was great great, I loved that I would end up. Currently enjoying life in the field, the 36-year-old spends time with his family. However, he recently published a video on his social media platforms.
Usually, Fury divides clips promoting their next fight or showing his demanding training system, but this time he chose a different path. On Instagram Fury announced a great competition in which fans could win Mercedes SL55, stating: “Hi boys, Tyson Fury HERE! Sign up to the Ring magazine today and get a chance to win SL55. All the best. Good luck and God bless you. “
The recent post led some fans to the wrong belief that Tyson Fury planned to return, with comments such as: “I thought that the return” and “I really thought there was no pension when I saw this movie.” Another enthusiast added: “I was hoping for a video back! Return to the Tyson ring! “
In fact, Fury enjoys a family trip to Disneyland Paris with his wife Paris and their seven children. “Gypsy King” devoted himself to the magic of the amusement park, sharing experiences from driving on cups with his daughter Valencia to watch the parade, along with characters such as Jessie from Toy Story. Despite the full pleasure of the visit, the Stoic word of Fury while driving on the cup, made available on Instagram, was particularly comical, showing the boxing master holding its strenuous surface, even among the whim of Disneyland.
