Carl Froch has once again attacked Jake Paul and their war of words shows no sign of letting up.

Froch and Paul exchanged words on social media, following the latter’s words victory by unanimous decision over Mike Tyson in Texas last Friday, with “The Cobra” claiming he would defeat the YouTuber in the round.

The former super middleweight world champion believes the fight was designed to ensure a victory for “The Problem Child” and insists he cannot be considered a legitimate professional fighter.

“After the fight with Mike Tyson, he simply showed who he is,” the 47-year-old said on his YouTube channel Froch About the fight.

“He couldn’t do anything about Mike Tyson.

“He talks about [how] he spent time with him.

“He couldn’t do anything with it and Mike Tyson looked like he was fighting according to a script.

“The whole thing is one large joke shop.

“It’s all one large fraud, a large fraud. He’s scamming people, but if people are going to turn it on and watch it and Netflix continues to pay him mega money, then it’s fair game to him, good job.

“I admire you in this respect because you know how to make money.

“But let’s not forget that you’re just a professional willing to take p***.

“I saw you dancing on TikTok, joking and you’re not a professional boxer.

“You never, ever will.”

Froch has been out of the ring since he knocked out George Groves in a rematch at Wembley Stadium in 2014.

Paul secured his 11th career victory against the 58-year-old Tyson, apparently attracting 60 million viewers on streaming giant Netflix.

Replying to the Nottingham man on X, the 27-year-old replied: “F***ing loser.

“Shut the fuck up.

“I have done more in 4 years than you have done in your entire life.

“This is the first and last time I’m responding to your broke, salty ass.

Let me know if you want to wash my cars.

A doctor is calling for a major change to boxing rules as a direct result of the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight

Published

on

A German doctor has argued that athletes should not be allowed to box after the age of 40, following Mike Tyson’s penniless fight against Jake Paul earlier this month. “Iron” Mike entered the ring as a professional for the first time since his defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005 on November 15, so he was already 58 years aged.

The fight with 27-year-old Paul went exactly as many viewers expected: “Problem Child” tore apart the former heavyweight champion over the course of eight rounds before getting his hand raised via unanimous decision. Thousands of fans left AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, before the fight was over to protest the exhibition, which pitted a juvenile, up-and-coming fighter against a much older and slower opponent.

Although both men emerged from the fight virtually unscathed thanks to the fact that there was no knockout, Professor Walter Wagner called for a ban on people over 40 years of age entering the squared circle for safety reasons. I’m talking to BILDthe doctor said: “As a rule, you should not be allowed into the ring after the age of 40.”

He added: “If you are not able to protect yourself enough in the ring, i.e. defend yourself, it can lead to stern health consequences. And the athlete’s health should be the top priority.”

Tyson was ultimately able to defend himself over the course of the eight-round fight, but he never really looked like winning the fight. The former WBA, WBC and IBF heavyweight champion came out swinging in the first fight, looking to catch up with Paul and finish the job quickly, but nothing landed.

Visibly tired by the third round, Paul calmly began attacking Tyson, defeating the legend of the game 80-72, 79-73, 79.73, even though everything was already said and done. Although Wagner seems to care about the safety of the fighters, his requests will unfortunately go unheeded by many combat sports fans.

This is because some of the greatest fighting champions in the world managed to pick up belts in their weight classes after the age of 40. George Foreman won the WBA and IBF heavyweight titles at the age of 45 with a 1994 knockout over Michael Moorer, and Vitali Klitschko still held the WBC belt at the age of 42.

Bernard Hopkins was also still fighting for titles at the age of 51, facing Joe Smith Jr. for the WBC International lightweight heavyweight title in 2016 – although he lost by eighth-round TKO.

Barry Hearn’s surprising revelation about earnings – ‘I haven’t taken a salary for 17 years’

Published

on

Matchroom CEO Barry Hearn has come pristine about his personal earnings, insisting his business ventures are driven by passion rather than personal enrichment.

I’m talking about his The Barry Hearn Show podcast, the founder of the sports promotion giant, has had a huge impact, among others. for professional snooker, boxing and darts. After retiring a few years ago and allowing son Eddie to largely take over, Hearn now serves in an advisory role at Matchroom as president and takes little home despite being so involved in the venture.

Hearn, 76, said his financial relationships go beyond monetary benefits, admitting he hasn’t seen a salary at the company in 17 years and his raising style is something he’s used to.

“I retired seventeen years ago. I stopped taking a salary seventeen years ago because I don’t need the money and I don’t live that lifestyle,” Hearn admitted.

“But at the same time, I can’t back away from something that was my life. And apart from family, nothing is more vital to me than that children get their chance, especially, and I am biased, perhaps children from the background I know had a home. My dad was a bus driver. My mother was a charade.

“We didn’t have any money, but we were content anyway. But when we get into business, there is a competitive streak where we want to be number one and be the best. I can’t walk away from this.”

Son Eddie, who is currently the chairman of Matchroom Sport, is called his father’s “project”, prompting Hearn to emphasize the importance of their close and personal relationship.

“We have a fantastic father-son relationship,” Hearn added. “We make fun of everyone. This doesn’t suit everyone. I remember Chris Eubank telling me, ‘Bazza, I don’t like the way Edward is talking to you.’ And I said, ‘Listen. friends. And he talks to me like a friend would talk to me. And it’s not disrespectful.

“This is the relationship we have and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I love him to death, but I also strongly disagree with him, and we don’t hold back. We are a very competitive team. family.

“I’m going to drive Eddie crazy because I’m going to pester him and say, ‘Why are we doing this? Why don’t we do that?». And he often turns around and says, “Dad, you’re a different age now. I am tomorrow.”

“I listen to him and I still sometimes disagree with him – and I am invariably wrong. But I know the business, I’ve lived the life, and I can still contribute. And I hope that I’m gigantic enough that when I get to the point where I can’t contribute, I hope that I’ll recognize it myself. By the way, I don’t think something like this will happen in the near future.

Jake Paul says Tommy Fury is the toughest fighter he’s ever faced, even though he recently fought Mike Tyson.

Paul secured his fifth straight victory since: only professional loss to Fury when he knocked out former undisputed heavyweight champion Tyson over eight rounds on Friday in Texas.

Much of the intrigue leading up to the fight was whether Tyson, 58, returning from a 20-year professional retirement, would be able to detonate one of his signature punches to derail the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s progress.

But in reality, “Iron Mike” was never able to generate the immense power that made him the youngest heavyweight champion of all time.

Paul admits that Fury was actually the hardest puncher he ever faced, defeating the aforementioned Tyson, whom he faced in his first heavyweight fight.

“I’d say Tommy Fury,” Paul replied when asked who the hardest puncher he’s faced BS w/Jake Paul.

“You can’t see the shots, so Tommy had some difficulties.

“What I mean is, if you see a punch coming, you can prepare for it.

“So if you step into something and you can’t see it and then all of a sudden you get hit, that’s when it starts to hurt.

“So Tommy had a harder time with it, but I saw Mike’s punches coming.

“He was powerful, but he didn’t land anything spotless.

“So I honestly didn’t feel the full power of Mike Tyson, but that’s fine, you don’t want to.

“So I just kept moving, staying elusive, and the only thing he landed on was this hook, but I just kept my hand on the phone.”

Fury is scheduled to return to the ring on January 18 after facing the former UFC star. Darren Till in Manchester.

The 25-year-old says he wasn’t surprised the Ohio fighter didn’t call out his name after the fight, and insists he would have had no chance of beating him in a rematch.

“He won’t mention it,” Fury said Professional boxing fans on Tuesday.

“[He says] “Oh, I run boxing, I’m the king of it.”

“You’re not, buddy.

“You faced a boxer who was your age and recent to it and you got beat.

“He actually got beat easily because if you look at the fight, it was a completely unanimous decision.

“I lost to him in every round and I think that slip in the eighth round is his only huge advantage.

– He won’t mention my name.

“Jake Paul will never be able to beat me.”
