Jake Paul reveals the hardest punch he’s faced and it’s not Mike Tyson
Published
15 hours agoon
Jake Paul says Tommy Fury is the toughest fighter he’s ever faced, even though he recently fought Mike Tyson.
Paul secured his fifth straight victory since: only professional loss to Fury when he knocked out former undisputed heavyweight champion Tyson over eight rounds on Friday in Texas.
Much of the intrigue leading up to the fight was whether Tyson, 58, returning from a 20-year professional retirement, would be able to detonate one of his signature punches to derail the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s progress.
But in reality, “Iron Mike” was never able to generate the immense power that made him the youngest heavyweight champion of all time.
Paul admits that Fury was actually the hardest puncher he ever faced, defeating the aforementioned Tyson, whom he faced in his first heavyweight fight.
“I’d say Tommy Fury,” Paul replied when asked who the hardest puncher he’s faced BS w/Jake Paul.
“You can’t see the shots, so Tommy had some difficulties.
“What I mean is, if you see a punch coming, you can prepare for it.
“So if you step into something and you can’t see it and then all of a sudden you get hit, that’s when it starts to hurt.
“So Tommy had a harder time with it, but I saw Mike’s punches coming.
“He was powerful, but he didn’t land anything spotless.
“So I honestly didn’t feel the full power of Mike Tyson, but that’s fine, you don’t want to.
“So I just kept moving, staying elusive, and the only thing he landed on was this hook, but I just kept my hand on the phone.”
Fury is scheduled to return to the ring on January 18 after facing the former UFC star. Darren Till in Manchester.
The 25-year-old says he wasn’t surprised the Ohio fighter didn’t call out his name after the fight, and insists he would have had no chance of beating him in a rematch.
“He won’t mention it,” Fury said Professional boxing fans on Tuesday.
“[He says] “Oh, I run boxing, I’m the king of it.”
“You’re not, buddy.
“You faced a boxer who was your age and recent to it and you got beat.
“He actually got beat easily because if you look at the fight, it was a completely unanimous decision.
“I lost to him in every round and I think that slip in the eighth round is his only huge advantage.
– He won’t mention my name.
“Jake Paul will never be able to beat me.”

Barry Hearn’s surprising revelation about earnings – ‘I haven’t taken a salary for 17 years’
Published

November 20, 2024Matchroom CEO Barry Hearn has come pristine about his personal earnings, insisting his business ventures are driven by passion rather than personal enrichment.
I’m talking about his The Barry Hearn Show podcast, the founder of the sports promotion giant, has had a huge impact, among others. for professional snooker, boxing and darts. After retiring a few years ago and allowing son Eddie to largely take over, Hearn now serves in an advisory role at Matchroom as president and takes little home despite being so involved in the venture.
Hearn, 76, said his financial relationships go beyond monetary benefits, admitting he hasn’t seen a salary at the company in 17 years and his raising style is something he’s used to.
“I retired seventeen years ago. I stopped taking a salary seventeen years ago because I don’t need the money and I don’t live that lifestyle,” Hearn admitted.
“But at the same time, I can’t back away from something that was my life. And apart from family, nothing is more vital to me than that children get their chance, especially, and I am biased, perhaps children from the background I know had a home. My dad was a bus driver. My mother was a charade.
“We didn’t have any money, but we were content anyway. But when we get into business, there is a competitive streak where we want to be number one and be the best. I can’t walk away from this.”
Son Eddie, who is currently the chairman of Matchroom Sport, is called his father’s “project”, prompting Hearn to emphasize the importance of their close and personal relationship.
“We have a fantastic father-son relationship,” Hearn added. “We make fun of everyone. This doesn’t suit everyone. I remember Chris Eubank telling me, ‘Bazza, I don’t like the way Edward is talking to you.’ And I said, ‘Listen. friends. And he talks to me like a friend would talk to me. And it’s not disrespectful.
“This is the relationship we have and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I love him to death, but I also strongly disagree with him, and we don’t hold back. We are a very competitive team. family.
“I’m going to drive Eddie crazy because I’m going to pester him and say, ‘Why are we doing this? Why don’t we do that?». And he often turns around and says, “Dad, you’re a different age now. I am tomorrow.”
“I listen to him and I still sometimes disagree with him – and I am invariably wrong. But I know the business, I’ve lived the life, and I can still contribute. And I hope that I’m gigantic enough that when I get to the point where I can’t contribute, I hope that I’ll recognize it myself. By the way, I don’t think something like this will happen in the near future.

Tommy Fury rips into Daniel Dubois and shells out huge cash after DM leak
Published
23 hours agoon
November 20, 2024Tommy Fury says he’s willing to bet “everything” in his bank account that Daniel Dubois won’t fight Jake Paul – and described the world heavyweight champion as an “embarrassment”.
Last week, Paul easily defeated heavyweight legend Mike Tyson on points, although the fight drew fury from boxing purists due to the pair’s 31-year age difference. Still, the fight was streamed on Netflix by 65 million people around the world, including IBF heavyweight champion Dubois. Now it appears that the British boxer, who won the title by brutally knocking out Anthony Joshua in September, also seems interested in fighting Paul, as revealed by his direct message to the YouTube star.
“Problem Child” on social media posted a screenshot of an alleged message from Dubois that read: “Hi Jake, nice business on the weekend, but how would you feel fighting the legitimate heavyweight champion of the world. Daniel Dubois is calling, come out and let’s deal with it.”
However, the American responded with “Triple D” with a photo of his ticket in line and the message: “Get in line.”
Fury, who handed Paul the first defeat of his career in February 2023, has now commented on the revealed news. The 25-year-old brother of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury admitted he had no idea what Dubois was doing by calling out Paul and even called the world champion’s behavior “embarrassing.”
Former Love Island winner Fury said: “You have to be realistic. Paul is not fighting Dubois or anyone like that. You are calling him the rightful world champions of this sport [Paul] outside. It made sense to me because I was at the beginning of my career and I would be fighting journeymen anyway.
“If I was the undisputed unified champion, I wouldn’t care about Jake Paul. I think it’s a bit embarrassing [Dubois and Artur Beterbiev’s] Hi. I don’t know what Dubois is doing. The fact that he even thinks I’ll let it go because he might bite.
Paul, who reportedly earned £31.6 million ($40 million) for his victory over Tyson, revealed he would be in talks with promoters Nakisa Bidarian and Frank Warren about fighting Dubois. Dubois previously defeated Joe Cusumano in a bill that included Paul’s 2021 fight against Tyron Woodley, and later earned £10 million for his shock victory over AJ.
Paul wrote on Twitter: “Man [Dubois] I’ve been boxing for 12 years, I’ve had over 100 fights between amateurs and professionals, and I’ve fought on my card, hahaha. But fuck it… I’ll ask Nakisa to talk to Frank Warren and put you in line for the throne.
Fury, however, believes it is all for show unless Dubois receives the large money, adding: “I guarantee I will put everything I have in my account on it now. You will never see Jake Paul and Daniel Dubois in the ring together.” unless they sign a contract and offer Dubois £200 million to go into the ring and not even look at it.
Speaking about the controversial fight with Tyson, he added: “From a business and commercial point of view, it is unbelievable. If someone is making a trillion pounds I’ll say ‘well done mate’. Both men were paid. Fantastic. But for the fans and everyone who thought this was going to be a fight, it’s a disappointment.

The rules for the Tommy Fury vs. Darren Till fight appear and mock Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul
Published
2 days agoon
November 19, 2024Tommy Fury and Darren Till’s fight has been confirmed as a heavyweight bout, and both will wear 10oz gloves during eight three-minute rounds – in line with conventional boxing rules and regulations.
That’s a far cry from the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight, which was ruled a professional fight by the Texas Athletic Commission under bizarre circumstances.
In last Friday’s fight, the two fought despite a 31-year age difference – doing so wearing 14-ounce gloves and shooting eight two-minute rounds. In almost all men’s professional fights, boxers must fight in three-minute rounds.
Paul’s fight with Tyson continues to be heavily criticized as he admits he didn’t want to knock out his legendary opponent, believing he posed little threat as the fight progressed. He later admitted that Fury punches harder than Tyson.
Meanwhile, Fury will look to maintain his undefeated record following victories over KSI and Paul over the past 18 months as he returns to the ring against former UFC star Till.
The younger brother of Tyson Fury, the 25-year-old had aspirations to become world boxing champion and follow in the footsteps of the legendary heavyweight fighter.
However, over the past two years, he has moved away from his conventional route of fighting professional boxers, instead taking on influencers and social media stars – and now he’s doing it again, facing Till in the former UFC’s first boxing fight.
On Tuesday, they came face to face for the first time, and tempers flared between them, with Tommy’s father, John, getting involved – standing up and throwing a drink at Till.
Till threatened to turn the boxing fight into a mixed martial arts event, telling Fury: “I didn’t see him that much, I know he fought some pros, but I didn’t see him that much. I’m just going to destroy him, do an absolute trick with him, knock him down and destroy him. And he knows it.
“No one here is a threat to me. I’m an MMA fighter, so if I have to kick or elbow you in the face, I will and no one will do anything about it. End of the day if I can.” If I don’t punch you I’ll just kick you in the face, how about I kick you right in the face, you won’t know what hit you, if I fight and I do that I lose, I’ll kick him in the face.”
