Mike Tyson’s wife sent her husband a powerful eight-word message regarding Jake Paul’s purse after the fight

Published

Mike Tyson has revealed that his wife warned him that he did not have to fight YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in their highly anticipated fight. It is estimated that 500 million people would watch this fight, making it one of the most watched sporting events in history.

Despite Paul’s ostentatious claims that he could earn around £31 million from the fight, Tyson insists the money he makes will not change his life. It is unclear how much he could receive from the lucrative event.

Tyson, who was the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world during his three-year prime, is now 58 years elderly and retired 19 years ago. His last career victory was in 2003 against Clifford Etienne.

Tyson has now admitted that his wife insists she does not need to fight Paul. “This fight is not going to change my life financially,” Tyson said SPORTS Bible.

“If I did it for free, it wouldn’t change my life. My wife keeps telling me, “You don’t have to take part in this fight.”

“This is what I want to do, this is me. I am seeking my glory.”

Paul, however, denied Tyson’s claims. The 27-year-old insists the fight will give him his biggest payday, with potential earnings of around £31million.

“There are definitely some guaranteed amounts and other built-in bonuses and other sales complements – key performance indicators that trigger certain things,” Paul said in a separate interview with the same publication.

“This is definitely my biggest payday of all my fights. It’s definitely a fit paycheck.”

The duo was originally scheduled to fight on July 20 this year. However, the event had to be postponed because Tyson suffered complications from an ulcer during the flight. He has since revealed that it made him “cough up blood.”

Now fully recovered and ready to fight, Tyson stated that he intended to hurt Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

“My intention is to hurt Jake Paul. These are my intentions. I take it very seriously,” the boxer said on his podcast.

“It’s just the way I am. This is where the glory is. I’m selling a 90,000-seat stadium, and the whole world is now focused on this particular situation. This is my glory. My name is now on everyone’s lips.”

Jake Paul again confirmed that he wants to face Canelo Alvarez and defeat Mike Tyson next Friday.

Paul will face Tyson in a controversial but highly anticipated heavyweight bout at AT&T Stadium, streaming live on Netflix.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been vocal about his desire to face the Mexican four-weight world champion and believes it could be staged for a cruiserweight world title shot, a weight in which Alvarez has never fought.

Canelo had previously downplayed dealing with the “Problem Kid,” but in May the 34-year-old told reporters he might give him a chance in two years.

Paul claims his fight will break Alvarez’s attendance record of 73,126 beat Billy Joe Saunders at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in May 2021 and believes the unified super middleweight champion will have to fight him to regain his status as the face of boxing.

“It’s Canelo,” Paul said Suga Sean O’Malley.

“This moment will prove that I am the face of boxing.

“The biggest attraction and me vs. Canelo at 200 pounds for the world cruiserweight title is probably even bigger than me vs. Tyson and it makes a lot of sense.

“Canelo is on his way out.

“He will want a payday and I want to show the world that all the bullshit I talked about beating Canelo is true and I will be the most upset in the sport of boxing.

“We will fight over who the real face is because I will be running for it after this event.

“I broke his goalscoring record in Texas. I beat ticket sales and all that.”

Alvarez moved up to delicate heavyweight twice, knocking out Sergei Kovalev to win the WBO title in November 2019, but failed to capture the WBA title in May 2022 against Dmitry Bivol.

The WBC approved Alvarez’s request to fight then-WBC cruiserweight champion Ilunga Makabu in November 2021, and considering that fight never happened, Paul believes the Guadalajara native will still want to win the cruiserweight belt.

When asked if he thought Alvarez would agree to face him, the 27-year-old replied: “He will.

“The reason is that he will want to win his fifth title in the weight division.

“He wanted to win the cruiserweight belt.

“He was going to challenge Makabu to become the cruiserweight champion, so he wants to conquer that division so he can call himself the cruiserweight champion, and that’s where the fight makes sense.

“I can’t make 175 pounds, so this fight should be for the belt and it makes the most sense at cruiserweight.”

Boxing fans spent a fortune buying a staggering £1.5million of VIP tickets for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson. Six guests will receive incredible access to both fighters and a huge range of benefits over three days.

The package includes a pre-fight locker room visit and a custom-built ringside room to elevate the lucky winners above the rest of the crowd. They will also be on stage during the ceremonial weigh-in and will have private entry to all events.

In total, guests can enjoy 12 benefits, which also include a two-night stay at the luxurious Loews Arlington hotel. It is believed that the exclusive package was purchased by personal injury law firm TorkLaw and they will definitely be seen on Netflix due to the proximity of their suite to the ring.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul will fight former undisputed world heavyweight champion Tyson on Saturday morning in Texas. Concerns have been raised over the huge 31-year age difference between the fighters.

Paul is in excellent sports shape at the age of 27, and Tyson is 58. Concerns were raised for the boxing icon’s safety and he revealed he even rejected his wife’s advice that he didn’t need to take the fight.

Both fighters are expected to earn huge amounts of money for this fight. Paul boasted that he could earn around £31 million ($40 million), although Tyson downplayed the figures, saying they would not change his life.

Jake Paul bet his entire £31million purse on the outcome of the Mike Tyson fight

Published

on

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has placed his entire $40 million (£31 million) bet on the outcome of his upcoming fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson. The fight, which will take place next Friday in Dallas, will be Tyson’s first professional fight in almost two decades.

Considering he is 31 years younger than the former undisputed heavyweight champion, Paul is the bookmakers’ favorite to win. During the pre-main event bout, Paul accepted bets from several undercard fighters, including Neeraj Goyat, who bet his $1 million house.

Katie Taylor, who is ready for a rematch with Amanda Serrano, went a step further. When Paul asked her how much she wanted to bet, Taylor replied, “Do you want to bet your wallet?” Without hesitation, Paul agreed, saying, “Yes, let’s put the bag down. Deal” and shook Taylor’s hand.

While many doubt whether the bets will hold, Paul insists that contracts will be signed before Friday evening. Earlier this year, Paul bragged about his earnings from his 12th professional fight.

When asked if he brought Tyson in to “legitimize” his boxing career, Paul replied: “I didn’t bring him in for any shit; “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend I don’t want.” don’t worry about anything else, he wanted it to be a professional fight and he really will get knocked out.”

Paul doesn’t hold back before fighting the legendary Tyson, boasting to reporters: “You’ll see in his record: Jake Paul knocks out Mike Tyson; I’m not here to do shit except make a bag. Every time fighters sit across from me and watch ‘YouTuber this, Disney kid that’ and they end up on the canvas… this will be no different. I offered this deal to this ancient bastard he signed with Netflix and we brought him the deal, you’re welcome my son.

Meanwhile, Tyson made the pre-fight farce clear during his latest press conference, giving terse answers and showing perceptible irritation when asked about a possible loss to Paul. “I said everything I had to say,” Tyson declared, quickly trying to deflect further questions.

But not to be silenced, he assured firmly, “I’m not going to lose.” When pressed again, his patience wore slim as he repeated, “Did you hear what I said?” In a edged response, Paul joked: “That’s cute. I’m not afraid of any man, so I want him to be wild ancient Mike.
