Cudos crushed Zuniga to retain his WBA Fedelatin – World Boxing Association crown

Argentinian Sol Cudos defended her Fedelatin World Boxing Association (WBA) minimum belt by defeating Venezuelan Johanna Zuniga by technical knockout in the fifth round on Saturday evening.

The headquarters of the Argentine Boxing Federation in Buenos Aires was the venue where the home team put in a dominant performance, ending the fight before halftime.

The 27-year-old boxer looked very good against an experienced challenger like Zuniga, and she was able to easily decide the fight so she could continue to climb her career and get closer to a world title shot.

With the victory, Cudos’ record stands at 9 wins, no losses, 2 draws and 3 knockouts, while Zuniga dropped to 18 wins, 8 losses, 1 draw and 11 knockouts.

Alaniz vs Fundora this Saturday in Las Vegas – World Boxing Association

Celeste Alaniz and Gabriela Fundora will step into the ring at the Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas to fight for the undisputed flyweight championship this Saturday night.

Segolene Lefebvre became the World Boxing Association (WBA) super bantamweight gold champion after winning a technical decision over Juliana Basualdo this weekend.

The Frenchwoman and the Argentinian fought a heated fight at the Municipal de Douai hippodrome in France, which ended in the fifth round due to a cut on the visiting player’s forehead resulting from an accidental collision of heads.

As the fight progressed past the fourth round, it was on the scorecards with the hosts leading the split 48-47, 48-47 and 46-49, ensuring she won by technical decision.

Lafebvre currently has 19 wins, 1 loss and 1 knockout. For his part, Basualdo left his record at 12 wins, 6 losses and 2 knockouts.
