Jake Paul’s girlfriend makes a disturbing remark to Mike Tyson as tensions arise before the fight

Published

on

Jake Paul’s partner Jutta Leerdam has admitted that ‘The Problem Child’ could be knocked out by boxing titan Mike Tyson next month.

At 27 years antique, Paul is currently preparing for his match against “Iron Mike” in just over a month. The long-awaited clash between the two boxing heavyweights will take place on November 15 at ATandT Stadium in Texas.

Tyson, now 58, last competed in a professional match in 2005, where he suffered a fifth-round defeat to Irishman Kevin McBride. But four years ago he returned to the ring for an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr.

In turn, Paul, an American social media phenomenon, has won victories over Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz since his professional debut in 2020. His only defeat in the boxing arena was a points defeat to Tommy Fury last year.

The decision to continue the match was met with widespread criticism, especially after Tyson had to withdraw from the original scheduled date in July due to a recurrence of his peptic ulcer. After being advised to stop training, the 58-year-old recently resumed training and maintains he will be ready to step into the ring next month.

At the peak of his career, “Iron Mike” was widely recognized as one of the most powerful players in the sport.

Many believe Tyson’s knockout power remains a sedate threat, with some speculating that he could bring an opponent to their knees. Leerdam, an Olympic silver medalist in speed skating, connected with Paul after he slid into her Instagram chats last year and invited her to appear on his podcast.

The 25-year-old believes in the victory of “The Problem Child” over the boxing icon, but is aware that Tyson has the potential to deal a devastating blow to his younger opponent.

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, she expressed her admiration for Paul’s rapid improvement: “Jake’s progress is not normal. Other athletes make a few percentage points of progress per year, if at all. Jake does so much throughout the year so I really trust his abilities. I’m very proud of him, but of course Mike Tyson could throw one punch harder than Mike has ever thrown – and it will be a hit for Jake.

Despite the possible dangers, Paul spent a lot of time analyzing Tyson’s previous fights, confident that he had cracked the code and defeated the 58-year-old legend. He suspects Tyson will want to “trap me on the ropes and then get angled punches from both sides.”

Discussing his strategy with the same publication, Paul revealed: “Just boxing on the outside and then using my footwork to be more agile, get him chasing me and then attack me when he’s out of position. This should frustrate him.”

At a recent press conference, when asked about his reasons for fighting Tyson, Paul replied: “Making history. That’s what I mean, man. I’m a kid from Ohio. They never give me credit. That’s how it is. If I walked on water, they would say it was because I couldn’t swim. People think I’m going to get knocked out by this mighty, powerful guy.

Paul added further, directly confronting the doubters: “All the people in my comments are saying, ‘look at his power. He’s about to be knocked out.” Fighting someone as fierce as Mike required risk. This is what art is all about.

Frank Warren says there are several options being considered for Daniel Dubois’ next move beyond a rematch with Anthony Joshua.

Last month, Warren sat ringside and watched his man Dubois stunningly knocks out Joshua to retain the IBF heavyweight world title at a packed Wembley Stadium.

Early indications were that both would withdraw immediately, with Saudi Arabian boss Turki Alalshikh reportedly keen on a second all-British clash between the two.

However, while Warren confirmed that “Dynamite” would be released again in early 2025, he added that it “may not” involve Joshua again.

I’m talking to DiscussionSPORTQueensberry’s boss stated:

He will fight next year, early next year. And we are only looking at a few matches

Hopefully we can do it by next week and he will face us. But he will defend his title and we will see who it will be.

“It might be AJ, it might not. It depends. But whatever happens, he will come out.

“He will definitely face someone and take advantage of what he did in that fight.

“I mean, he really, really, announced himself on the world stage in a large way, right?

“I mean, I have no problem with this fight [Joshua rematch]. I would fight all day for him.”

If a rematch with “AJ” is not next, Dubois has been linked with fights against the likes of Joseph Parker, Zhilei Zhang and the winner of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury on December 21.

Many boxing celebrities urged Joshua to stay away from the rematch with “DDD” and some even said he should consider hanging up his gloves.

But his promoter Eddie Hearn insists the Watford player, who celebrated his 36th birthday today, is adamant he wants a chance to get revenge on his younger compatriot.

What we know about Mike Tyson’s health is revealed after he withdrew from his fight with Jake Paul

Published

on

Mike Tyson has finally revealed the real reason he pulled out of his scheduled July session with Jake Paul. The 58-year-old heavyweight icon was prepared to take on 27-year-old social media and boxing sensation Paul this summer at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

However, health issues forced Tyson to step aside, paving the way for Mike Perry – an experienced UFC fighter who had opted for a bare-knuckle fight – to step in as a backup opponent. Paul, known in boxing corners as “Problem Child,” triumphed over Perry with a massive technical knockout in the sixth round, mercilessly targeting his opponent’s body from the very beginning.

With this victory, he improved his ring record to an impressive 10-1. After that fight, attention quickly returned to the Tyson-Paul fight, and both fighters are now preparing for their highly anticipated showdown next month. However, a burning question remains: What led to Tyson’s initial departure from their first fight? What was the cause of his health problems? And what is his condition now in terms of his combat prowess?

What happened?

While traveling from Miami to Los Angeles in May, Tyson developed a sudden flare-up of ulcers that left him feeling ill during the flight. Paramedics responded to the incident involving 57-year-old Tyson at LAX airport, confirming the situation.

A statement released at the time said: “Thankfully, Mr. Tyson is doing great. 30 minutes before landing, he felt nauseous and dizzy due to the flare-up of his ulcer. He is grateful to the medical staff who were there to facilitate him. his.”

Tyson then admitted to it Online mail that his culinary indulgences are the cause of a health scare: “I eat too much bad food and so on, and I got ill.”

What were the repercussions?

The medical issue prompted doctors to strongly suggest Tyson take a break from training for several weeks. Normally, such a break would not worry an experienced player if it were not for the upcoming match.

Unfortunately, with a fight with Paul on the horizon just a few months away, taking time off meant losing crucial preparation time that could have increased Tyson’s advantage heading into the fight. Choosing health over haste, Tyson withdrew from the upcoming fight, leaving Paul to prevail over Perry in a quick six rounds.

Fortunately, Tyson has cleaned up his diet and is proud to announce that he no longer has any doubts about ulcers. Looking forward to the trip, he will take on the internet star next month, completing a grueling six hours of daily training to ensure he performs at his best, regardless of age.

When will the postponed fight take place?

The fight, which was originally scheduled for July 20, has now been moved to November 15. ATandT Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will continue to host the event, which is expected to attract up to 90,000 fans. This professional heavyweight fight is sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, which means a victory for Paul will raise his record to 11-1.

Paul has been extremely lively since turning professional four years ago, defeating many large names in combat sports, including former UFC stars Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren. His only loss was a split decision to Tommy Fury last February.

Although Tyson was once the heavyweight champion of the world, he has not fought professionally since his defeat to Kevin McBride in 2005. He returned for an eight-round exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, which ended in a draw after going the entire distance. With an overall record of 50-6-2(NC), Tyson can further improve his record if he triumphs over Paul next month, adding to the long list of opponents he defeated in his prime, including Frank Bruno, Michael Spinks, Carl Williams and Bruce Seldon, among others.

Ben Whittaker’s six-word warning to fans against smashing their phones after airport security stormed in

Published

on

British boxer Ben Whittaker was reportedly dragged away by airport security in Saudi Arabia after smashing a fan’s phone.

His fight with Liam Cameron ended in an unusual draw after both boxers fell out of the ring, and Whittaker left the field in a wheelchair after injuring his ankle during sparring and then falling through the ropes.

The fight was stopped due to an accidental injury and a technical draw was declared, with Whittaker leading 58-57 on one scorecard, Cameron leading by the same score on the second, and the third tied 58-58.

The fight was an vital element of the undisputed lithe heavyweight world title clash between Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev.

And hours after the bizarre draw with Cameron, Sun claim that Whittaker became enraged with a fan, saying “don’t take any pictures of me” while going through security at King Khalid International Airport in Riyad, before destroying his device.

The report’s source further explains: ‘I spotted Ben Whittaker going through security and then a fan in a boxing shirt approached me with a phone and went to take a photo.

“Ben said, ‘Don’t take any pictures of me,’ and grabbed the phone out of his hand and threw it straight on the floor.

“Ben came up to him and looked like he was going to hit him and some of Ben’s team jumped in between them and it got really heated – they were shouting at each other.”

Both men allegedly initially had their passports confiscated following an argument, and then had another conversation at a nearby cafe and settled their differences.

They sat at the same table and Whittaker apologized, offering to cover the damages, after a fan was offered to be a guest at one of the 27-year-old’s next fights, the matter was quickly described as “chilled”.

Whittaker has already broken his silence on the incident and said: “It was a truly unfortunate event and I am grateful to the gentleman who sat down to talk about it immediately afterwards and accepted my apology.

“Unfortunately, I cannot comment further on the alleged video as I have not seen it. Anyway, we are in contact about replacing his phone and coming to a future event as our guest.”
