Tony Bellew believes Daniel Dubois should give Joseph Parker a chance to fight him if Anthony Joshua doesn’t agree to an immediate rematch.

Both Bellew and Parker were ringside at Wembley Stadium as Dubois defended his IBF world heavyweight title with decisive knockout in the fifth round Joshua, in front of a record attendance of over 98,000 spectators.

Although “Dynamite” is not contractually obligated to give “AJ” a rematch, the pair could meet again, and Joshua has one more fight ahead of him against Riyadh Season, who organized Saturday’s spectacle.

Promoter of the Watford player, Eddie Hearn insists that the 34-year-old should wait before making a decision for the result of the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, which will take place on December 21.

If “AJ” does decide not to avenge the fourth defeat of his professional career, former cruiserweight world champion Bellew is eager for Parker to be given the opportunity.

New Zealander returned to the field after victories over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang.

“If Anthony Joshua doesn’t take the rematch immediately,” the 41-year-old explained Instant casino.

“I think there is only one person in the world of boxing who deserves a shot like that at Daniel Dubois and I think that is Joseph Parker.

“No one in the heavyweight division convinced people like Joseph Parker, no one.

“Joseph Parker faced two bogeymen that no one wants to face.

“He fought Deontay Wilder and literally beat him. And then, together with Zhilei Zhang, he stepped in against all doubters.

“Listen, I thought he was going to lose twice.

“I told him that, I worked with him on Saturday.”

In post-fight press conferenceJoshua insisted his career was not over despite arguably the most devastating defeat of his career and confirmed in a social media post on Monday that he would continue fighting.

“What a rollercoaster ride, but you know what the problem is, it’s not over yet,” he said.

“We did it once, we did it twice and doing it a third time wasn’t uncomplicated, but it’s something I can achieve. It’s about taking the right steps forward, working strenuous and improving.

“It must come from the heart first and foremost.

“It can’t come from outside voices or influences, it has to come from the heart.”

Conor McGregor joins ‘Pimp My Ride’ icon Xzibit in an unexpected merger

Published

on

Conor McGregor announced that Xzibit has joined his music label.

The Irishman initially came to the public eye through the UFC, before taking up boxing and further developing his fortune.

The 36-year-old currently owns a portfolio of pubs and alcohol brands, and recently announced that he is focusing on trying to conquer the music industry. McGregor founded his own label, Greenback Records.

The label continues to expand its roster of artists, though McGregor has now announced its first acquisition, Xzibit. The rapper has been a key figure in the hip-hop world since the mid-1990s, and McGregor is looking forward to helping the former Pimp My Ride actor return to the stage.

McGregor announced on Instagram that Xzibit will be releasing up-to-date music for the first time since 2012, with the album “Kingmaker” scheduled for release on October 11. The American star will appear the next day at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship gala, which could mark his revival after a 12-year break.

Sitting in the backseat of his Rolls Royce, the former UFC star was filmed saying: “Xzibit my man, welcome to the team.

“We are very excited to release fresh up-to-date music from you, an icon in the game and a legend in the industry. Let’s go, Xzibit. Let’s go, Greenback Records.

The post received over 100,000 likes, with many of McGregor’s followers sharing their surprise to see the Irishman working with Xzibit.

McGregor will be hoping that the American will be the first of many artists willing to work with Greenback Records, especially after he stated that he believes the entire industry needs an “overhaul”.

In a speech earlier this year, he explained: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to create the first major Irish record label in an industry that I have been very interested in for some time.

“To be able to come in and offer fair terms to music artists and reward them appropriately for their talent. This industry, like others, has long needed a thorough overhaul. I am thrilled that I, McGregor Sports & Entertainment, can partner with Richard Buck and Julian O’Brien as founders to bring Greenback Records to life!”

Middleweight prospect Joel Bartell says he’s looking forward to his rematch with Jordan Reynolds and insists he’s taking positives from his first career loss.

Bartell last broke his undefeated record with a unanimous decision victory over Reynolds in July, who maintained his undefeated record.

A 22-year-old who trains, among others, Mark Tibbstreats the defeat as an instructive lesson before returning to the ring on Friday at York Hall on the card of the fight for the title of European bantamweight champion Thomas Essomba from Charlie Edwards.

“Yes, I learned a lot,” Bartell said proboxing-fans.com.

“Like you said, it was a great fight.

“It was a great fight for the fans. Entertainment.

“At the end of the day, this is the entertainment business and people want to watch it, and I learned a lot from this fight and I can’t wait to get back in the ring and perform.

“I want to reach the very top.

“I want to complete the classic route.

“English, British, Commonwealth, EBU and then world titles, but you have to take those fights, especially at the beginning, I think, to see where you are at and what you need to improve.

“Otherwise, you will be protected until you get where you want to go and you will fail in a place that will be harder to come back from.”

The Surrey player is looking to get back to winning ways when he meets Nikolas Dzurnak, who has been stopped in three of his seven defeats.

Bartell admits he hopes for a rematch with Reynolds in the future, but admits he needs to get back to winning form first.

“I definitely want a rematch,” he added.

“But like I said, you have to come back, you have to rebuild, so this fight is six rounds.

“Then I think I will get the eighth round and we will see where I am in the rankings because there are a few titles there.

“When it comes to the South Area, I would fight for the South Area.

“But there is Commonwealth silver, which has been a lot of competition for lately, and also English.

“There are many titles, but as I said, six [rounder]eight [rounder]See where I stand and I would love to see a rematch in the future.”
