Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set to return to the ring this Saturday for a rematch with John Gotti III. The 47-year-old boxing legend, who boasts an unbeaten record of 50-0 with wins over large names like Manny Pacquiao, Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya and Canelo Alvarez, has not had a sanctioned fight since his 2017 tenth-round TKO of Conor McGregor.

However, he competed in exhibition matches, defeating YouTubers Logan Paul and Deji Olatunji, as well as Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers. His last match was last June against Gotti III at the FLA Live Arena in Florida, ending controversially due to unsportsmanlike conduct.

Both fighters were unhappy with the referee’s decision to end the fight, which led to a disordered scene in the ring. Now, they are set to face off again at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. As we await this rematch, let’s take a closer look at the life of Floyd Mayweather Jr., from his wealth to his Los Angeles home and impressive car collection.

Floyd Mayweather Net Worth

Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather certainly lives up to his name, having amassed a colossal sum of money from 50 professional fights and seven exhibitions. In his headline-grabbing 2017 fight with Conor McGregor, Mayweather is estimated to have earned a staggering $300m (£228.7m), while McGregor pocketed around $100m (£76.2m).

But that staggering figure barely scratches the surface of Mayweather’s total career earnings. According to Celebrity Net Worth, as of 2024, the boxing superstar’s net worth is a whopping $400m (£304.9m). With career earnings of over an astonishing $1.1bn (£762m), Mayweather joins the elite ranks of athletes such as Michael Schumacher, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan, all members of the sports billionaires club.

Mayweather, who was a far cry from many of his peers, had scant support as he could earn hundreds of millions of dollars just for stepping into the ring, particularly later in his career – a stunning $250m (£190m) paid to him for his large fight with Manny Pacquiao in 2015 being a case in point.

Confirming his status as one of the richest boxers, Mayweather made the shocking revelation in 2011 to ESPN that he carried $2.5 million in a backpack. His response when asked in surprise? “Okay, some people like to keep their money in the bank — mine was in a backpack. Is that a large difference?”

Luxury Car Collection

In addition to his sporting successes, the boxer boasts an enviable collection of luxury vehicles. With seemingly limitless wealth, Mayweather is known for indulging in the pleasures of life. He is said to have spent £5.3 million at Gucci in South Africa and purchased ‘The Billionaire’, a 280-carat diamond watch designed by Jacob and Co, for a staggering £15 million.

Despite sporting a bald head for most of his career, he even spent £815 on a haircut. It’s no wonder Mayweather boasts an impressive collection of luxury cars and a £38million Gulfstream G650 private jet for his long-haul adventures. His car collection includes a fleet of £3million Rolls-Royces, four Bugatti Veyrons valued at £1.7million each, a £275,000 Lamborghini Aventador, a £238,000 Ferrari 488, a classic Porsche 911 and the most pricey model on the market, the Bentley Mulsanne.

In Los Angeles, Mayweather owns another classic Rolls-Royce Phantom, a Phantom Drophead Coupe, a Dawn, a Wraith and a Cullinan. He also has another Ferrari 488 in Beverly Hills, as well as a Mercedes Maybach valued at £172,000. A Mercedes G63 AMG worth £155,000 and a practical Mercedes van by TMT (The Money Team) complete Mayweather’s extensive car collection.

Huge Mansion in Hills

Mayweather’s £19million Beverly Hills mansion is nothing compact of regal. The sprawling property not only houses his belt collection but also boasts an impressive wine cellar, stocked with exquisite bottles for the ultimate celebration. Mayweather recently shared his luxurious lifestyle with a photo on social media, lounging in his lavish living room, which features high ceilings, elegant wooden floors and a sultry fireplace.

“Relaxing in 90210,” he captioned the photo, propping his feet up on a plush black sofa. The mansion isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a treasure trove of six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a movie theater, a sprawling master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a colossal garage to store his gleaming fleet of cars.

The outdoor space includes a swimming pool and even an on-site candy shop. That’s not all – Mayweather also owns another $10m (£7m) Las Vegas mansion, which includes two guest houses, space for 20 cars and his own 1.41-acre vineyard.

Jake Paul admits his dad cried when he told him about the Mike Tyson fight

Published

on

Jake Paul says his father was moved to tears when he found out he would face former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson in the ring. The 27-year-old is currently in the final stages of preparation for the fight, which will take place on November 15 at the ATandT Arena in Arlington, Texas, potentially in front of an audience of up to 90,000.

Paul first entered the boxing world in 2020 and has since risen to fame. His brief but impressive career includes wins over Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz, with a record of 10-1. His only defeat was last year against Tommy Fury.

Known as “The Problem Child,” Paul typically faced MMA fighters in the ring, which makes his upcoming fight with Tyson a unique challenge. “Iron Mike” hasn’t competed in a professional match since losing to Kevin McBride in 2005, although he did compete in an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. four years ago.

Tyson, considered a heavyweight boxing legend, is a reason for many to be concerned about fighting a fighter 31 years younger than him.

At the press conference, Paul said: “Making history. That’s what I mean, man. I’m a kid from Ohio. They never give me credit. That’s how it is. water, they would say it’s because I can’t swim. And that means making history. People think I’m going to get knocked out by this forceful, powerful guy.

“All the people in my comments are saying, ‘Look at his strength. He’s about to get knocked out.» Fighting someone as fierce as Mike required risk. This is what art is all about.

What’s more, “The Problem Child” sees the fight as an honor and admits that even his father, Greg, cried when he heard about the fight with his childhood hero, Mike Tyson.

In a candid moment shared Illustrated sportshe said: “It’s an honor for me. It’s a win for both sides. I can’t believe it. My dad’s favorite fighter growing up is Mike Tyson. My dad cried when I told him about this possibility.”

He noted: “For me it’s a surreal and iconic moment. The second main event will be Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano. We rank women’s boxing among the most watched events in history and, overall, it’s a win, but of course as you climb to the top of the ladder, the windier it gets. So there will be more critics, but that’s the nature of people and that’s what it is.

“The Problem Child” has carefully studied Tyson’s previous fights and suspects that Tyson will try to “trace me on the ropes and then get angled punches from both sides.”

When asked about his strategy, Paul revealed: “Just box on the outside and then employ my footwork to be more agile, get him chasing me and then attack him when he’s out of position. This should frustrate him.”

Full Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight card released as a promise to fans

The announcement of the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight scheduled for November 15 promises to be a “mega-event,” if Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) are to be believed.

Netflix and MVP announced three preliminary fights ahead of the co-main event, which will feature Amanda Serrano against Katie Taylor and the highly anticipated eight-round fight between Tyson and Paul. In one of the three fights, Shadasia Green will face Melinda Watpool for the WBO super middleweight title.

In the second round, undefeated Lucas Bahdi will put his streak on the line against another undefeated fighter: Corey Marksman. At 24, Marksman will be looking to defeat Bahdi, who is six years his senior, as he continues to make a name for himself among the lightweight crowd.

Finally, Bruce Carrington will face Dana Coolwell to put his status as one of the fastest rising featherweights to the test. Coolwell is undefeated at featherweight and with his combination of speed and size, the Australian boxer will give Carrington a challenge like he has never seen before.

After the preliminary fight, there will be two fights before Serrano-Taylor and Tyson-Paul. In the first fight, WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios will face Abel Ramos in a 12-round championship fight.

Additionally, there will be a six-round fight between Neeraj Goyat and Whindersson Nunes. Goyat is currently the number one boxer in India, with a record of 18-4-2 and eight knockouts, while Nunes will be looking to make an impact against one of the best fighters in the world.

Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of MVP, believes that a diverse range of players will ensure an unforgettable experience. “From start to finish, Paul vs. Tyson will provide fans at AT&T Stadium and around the world on Friday, November 15, with an thrilling night of boxing, starting with an action-packed pre-show,” he said in a statement.

“Less than a year after her first title fight, MVP owner Shadasia Green has fought her way back and is ready to win the WBO world championship, but first she must defeat Melinda Watpool, who has her eyes on the prize. We are ready We are proud to continue our commitment to presenting women’s boxing by featuring another title fight on this incredible card.

“Corey Marksman first came to our attention in Most Valuable Prospects, and after his outstanding performance in Paul vs. Perry, we are thrilled to have him return to face Lucas Bahdi, who delivered the Knockout of the Year in the same fight With the thrilling addition of Shu Shu Carrington and Dana Coolwell, a proud Aboriginal warrior from the Mununjali tribe, this card truly embodies the diversity and world-class talent that defines MVP.

Don’t miss…

And while many fights can be thrilling, the Paul vs. Tyson fight is undoubtedly the highlight. However, the fight could end sooner than expected if the YouTuber-turned-boxer is not careful in how he approaches the 58-year-old Tyson and his ferocity.

“If Jake moves like Larry Holmes, circling around and dodging punches, maybe he can survive,” Larry Holmes explained to OLBG. “But if he doesn’t move and dodge Mike’s punches, he won’t make it. He must strike a blow. Block what he throws and throw it away. If he doesn’t fight Mike Tyson smartly, using movement and jabbing, he won’t win. If he tries to trade blows, he won’t win.

“The only way to win a battle is to flee,” Holmes added. “If he doesn’t apply jab and move, good night, Irene. If he doesn’t apply his jab, he’ll be in trouble. You have to beat Tyson, apply your jab and be the first. When the bell rings, Tyson will run at it and will have to stop Mike with a sturdy right hand and a left hook.

Carl Froch has reacted strongly to Eddie Hearn after his former promoter branded him an Anthony Joshua ‘hater’.

While interview with professional boxing fans last week, Hearn responded to Froch about his reaction to Joshua’s reaction defeat in the fifth round to Daniel Dubois last month, in which the former super middleweight champion questioned the Watford fighter’s hunger.

Froch dismissed the match-room chairman’s comments and insists he showed respect to Joshua after he was dropped four times by Dubois, dashing his hopes of becoming a three-time world heavyweight champion

“I said he fell on the shield,” the 47-year-old continued Froch About the fight.

“He was there, he took the penalty and he never gave up and stayed there.

He needed respect to stay there and not leave, and that’s exactly what I’m giving him.

“So Eddie Hearn gives me some bullshit and says I hate AJ, it’s not right, it’s inexact and that’s why I’m dragging him into it.”

Froch and Joshua have been engaged in public discussions over recent months, with ‘The Cobra’ leaking voicemails from his former stablemate and describing him as a “plastic gangster” during the height of their feud.

In July, a footballer from Nottingham claimed that theirs the dispute has been resolved and now he has revealed that he reached out to his compatriot after the devastating defeat to Dubois.

“Me and AJ go way further than Eddie Hills [Hearn] does,” he added.

“We have known each other much longer.

“I trained with him at EIS, we had the same coach.

“Actually, after the fight, I was his guest, I sent him a message, talked to him and asked if everything was OK.

“I’m more concerned about his health than how much money he makes for me because I’m not a promoter who takes money when I drop fighters.

“It’s me who’s worried because I understand boxing.

“I was there. I was hit in the face.

“I know what it’s like to wake up the morning after a loss and have a concussion.

“I contacted Anthony Joshua. We had a good conversation.

“He called me a mentor, which was really nice, and I don’t think Eddie Hearn understands the relationship that Anthony Joshua and I have.

“We have a lot of respect for each other because we are both warriors, we are both warriors.”
