On Tuesday, it was officially announced that Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano would face each other in the second installment of the most crucial women’s rivalry of recent times. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas will be the setting for an undisputed super lightweight title fight between two of the best fighters of their era.

On April 30, 2022, the day of their first fight, they fought one of the best women’s fights in history, which was recognized by the WBA as the best fight of the year. On this occasion, they fought at lightweight, and Taylor defended her crowns in a hard-fought fight, full of exchanges, in which she almost went to the canvas at one point in the fight.

Now, after moving up in class last year, the Irishwoman will put her 140-pound belt on the line. It is worth noting that she has two wars with Chantelle Cameron, to whom she lost in May last year, but took revenge in November to retain her belts.

Meanwhile, Serrano defeated Danila Ramos in her last fight last October. She was supposed to enter the ring in February in Puerto Rico, but an eye injury prevented her from fighting in front of her home crowd. Now she’ll get the fight she’s been dreaming about and will have to move up two classes to get her rematch with Taylor.

The announcement was made official by both fighters via social networks and the fight will be broadcast on Netflix, a up-to-date boxing actor.

Taylor has 23 wins, 1 loss and 6 knockouts. For his part, Serrano has 46 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw and 30 knockouts.
